I am looking for grant money that will be used for training novices for the construction industry. The grant money will be used to rent space, management, training, advertising, etc. I have extensive experience in construction, and I own a small business specializing in interior office-fitout work. The newly trained recruits will work together with experienced personel. I will offer daily personall supervision both on and off the jobsite. This team will complete projects on time and within budget allowances.
My target area for this center is in Brooklyn, NY, and the proposed jobsites will be in Manhattan and the surrounding metropolitan area. While my company grows, I will be providing technical training and good jobs to local needy individuals.
Through the years I've also built a network of people, companies, suppliers, subcontractors, etc., which are also involved in related fields. If possible I will refer my recruits to others for employment, thus begin a network of available tradesmen to needy contractors.
I am open to suggestions, and willing to partner with individual/s, local civic centers, and local government. Your comments and ideas are welcomed.
I have calculated that this plan will need approximately $150K to $200K in order to be implemented. I need information on which government grant I may qualify for with my business idea. I also welcome information on private or even corporate grants.
Ideas like this will help uplift a neighborhood's standards in income and education. If this example is funded and kickstarted by enough individuals, it will benefit our society positively, especially in the difficult times we all live in, especially in New York.
I thank you all !
